Thai Betagro company on expansion trail
Thai pork and poultry integrator Betagro has announced
to increase its pork processing capacity to meet rising export
Betagro president Vanus Taipaisitpongsa said that the upgrade of its
processed packaged pork factory, from 1,200 to 2,000 pigs a day, is scheduled
for completion by June.
The upgrade fits neatly in a targeted 15%
sales growth this year.
To achieve that, Betagro has also allocated
one billion baht (over €23,000,000) for the planned construction by 2008, of an
animal feed plant in Nakorn Ratchasima, to increase its yearly capacity to

budgeting 1.5 billion baht (almost €35,000,000) to build another cooked
