Australian pig prices driven 10c/kg higher
According to a report from Meat and Livestock
Australia (MLA), pig prices have increased by up to AUD 0.10 (€0.06) per kg
(carcass weight) in Southern Australia, New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland.
This increase only slightly affected the average trends in NSW and Queensland
as the new prices were not at the top end of the scale. According to MLA,

In Victoria and WA, prices remained in general unchanged. Sow
rates were reported to have weakened in Victoria as excess supplies are in
This increase in sow turn-off results from the drying
