Rising soya prices have pushed pig feed prices in France up to new heights, reaching €276 per tonne, reports France's AgriMer first half sector assessment.
The US drought this year has quickened the rise in feed prices, last year’s highest price was 254 per tonne, which was sustained over the summer of 2011, before dropping with the appearance of the main cereal harvest.
French feed prices been rising steadily all year.
